Workshop description: The workshop addresses how to deal with the behaviors of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Including supporting positive behaviors and reducing negative behaviors that may affect the child’s ability to learn. Workshop includes analyzing the causes “antecedents” consequences of maladaptive behaviors. The workshop also includes training on how to use a set of data collection forms and tools used in functional analysis of behavior, as well as participation in small work groups for training on behavior management from the perspective of functional analysis of behavior.
  1. Understand positive and negative behaviors of children with ASD.
  2. Determine the function of children with autism spectrum disorder behaviors.
  3. Training on how to collect accurate data on behavior.
  4. Training on analyzing data related to the environment and behavior antecedents.
  5. Training on analyzing the positive and negative consequences of behavior.
  6. Identify the alternative behaviors for disruptive behaviors.
  7. Factors for success and failure in modifying mal adaptive behaviors of children with ASD.

works as a clinical consultant at the Advance Center. He also works as an associate professor of special education in the Department of Mental Health (Faculty of Education, Fayoum University). He has published many peer-reviewed scientific papers in Autism Spectrum Disorder and (ASD) Developmental Disabilities. and participated in writing many training manuals in teaching, enhancing positive behavior, and decreasing negative behaviors for children with ASD.
